Olá! Here’s my first big news of spring, and perhaps my greeting to you has given a hint. Letícia Magalhães and I are reuniting to co-host the Luso World Cinema Blogathon 2025 edition. Letícia is a Brazilian film writer who runs the bilingual, classic film blog Crítica Retrô. Together we founded the blogathon and have co-hosted every edition. As descendants of the Lusosphere, we recognized an ignored aspect of film history, and we wanted to correct that. Our blogathon is the only one celebrating the cinematic achievements of Lusophones and their descendants. It also provides the opportunity to turn a critical eye on their portrayals. We will announce the Luso World Cinema Blogathon 2025 edition’s dates and how to participate soon!
